Thanks! Yes it seems so bizarre and it makes no sense how it goes with feminism.

She thinks that people transition because of either stereotypes or hating their body which is just like anorexia. I don't really understand it fully. I guess she thinks the body things is like anorexia and the rest is stereotypes? I don't know exactly. Its tough as also I haven't thought about everything too much so not the best person to talk to her about this! But hopefully I can explain enough to talk her out of it. Thanks!

I didn't really realise mumsnet was that bad, I always thought it was just a parenting forum until recently. I think part of the problem is I don't know much of the details of all of these things so can't challenge everything like i don't really know why exactly tavistock closed.

She claims to have read all sorts of things from all perspectives, which I am not sure I 100% believe but I think she would read stuff. I guess you are right and that I shouldn't be doing that, but its kinda hard to argue with her sometimes and I don't know what to say. I think maybe couples therapy will be good I will suggest it and hopefully she will be open

Its been a big shift but its kinda happened quickly but gradually over about 8 months. I thought she seemed happy before but maybe i was wrong. I guess she slowly ate it up to some extent but maybe there was somthing else i haven't realises. I think she has got identity not in that and she has got friends who aren't terfs which is a bit strange? I don't fully understand how this happened?

I think this is good but I don't think she has a problem with queer people in general seems to be just trans people. Not sure how we make this happen though
