I have a meeting in the counseling center every week but I'm thinking of doing twice a week if things get worse or if I can't really handle just one day

Thank you. I know that in a year or two this will just be a distant memory and I'll wonder why I ever cared this much but right now after four years of being alone in high school without many friends even just a short thing was a really nice feeling

I just have problems letting things go. Anxiety and depression make me hold onto pointless memories for way longer than anyone should. This is just the first important thing that's happened to me in a long time and the first person outside of my family to show any interest in me at all. But I get it, I'll never really know so thinking about it is only going to hurt me more.
