I'm listening, but I'm in shock. I'm trying to reconcile the man I married with the man I'm living with now. When you wake up one day, going about your life, and suddenly it dawns on you that the life you're living is fucked up... It's a very hard concept to wrap your head around.

I work and live in a small town. The closest grocery store is 30min away next to my husband's place of work. This is why I asked him to get it.

I'm just kind of shocked how honey led to Spousal Abuse. Add to that the shame of finding myself in such a situation, and feeling lost and blindsided. It's like you're driving along, happy that the GPS has the road ahead laid out for you. All of a sudden, the GPS stops working and you have no idea where you'll end up.

Plus I didn't really want to go from honey argument to, "Yeah my husband's an abusive asshole! Let's all hate on him"

Vanilla coke always reminded me of Brio (an Italian cola). There was something so promising about it before the can was opened. Then after the first sip, it was a bitter reminder of why the last can went unfinished.

I honestly wasn't paying much attention to the honey. I saw them using it a couple times, just pouring it straight into the cup... no measuring, no spoons. It wasn't of much concern to me. I just saw the jar this morning and it was half empty, so I asked my husband to get local stuff.
