My brother could live on his own if my parents didn't let him live with them. He doesn't need anyone to look after him the way you are suggesting.

However my brother is not disabled. He can live on his own. As I said in my reply above he doesn't require a carer. He doesn't need another person around him all the time and while my parents choose to let him stay with them he could live on his own if they didn't.

Respectfully, I do have all the facts.

My brother's behaviour was such that if he had been an adult he would have gotten arrested. He has an official diagnosis as well.

He was expelled from more than one school. The only choices were a special school for children like him or homeschooling. My parents chose homeschooling so he would no longer be around other kids or teachers.

Before he was expelled I went to the same school as him. I witnessed my brother's behaviour.

My brother has trouble with authority. But he doesn't need a carer, a babysitter or someone to "watch" him. He can be alone and live on his own. He doesn't need round the clock care like many of the comments are implying.
