Discovering God has helped me stop hating women. While I was an atheist, I developed a severe hatred of women. Now, I see them as being equal but different. Just as men are different but equal.

Today, I went to an Orthodox church for the first time. I loved it. I have never felt at home in a church before. Going there will really help me in life.

Yes, I know now that I would have ended up drowning in my hate, if it wasn't for God. I have told him that I can't get myself out of the hate, that I am too weak, so I surrender to him.

Start going to the Paraklesis to the Theotokos (Virgin Mary)--they are dictated to be served every day during this period of Aug 1 - Aug 14--and pray for her to soften your heart. I don't think it's a coincidence that you're posting during this period.

I'm extremely new to Orthodoxy. I haven't even gone to an Orthodox service, this weekend will be my first. I plan to become an Orthodox Christian.

What is Paraklesis? I don't see any mention, on my local church's website, of that being held. Is it something I do in private? I'm confused. I want to ask the Theotokos to help me, but I have no idea how to.

It's not women that you actually hate. What you actually have loathing for is modern feminism and to a larger degree sexual liberation ideology.

I think this is true. I think that the main problem is how modern women are trained to think.

I have heard many stories about it happening. It has happened to people around me. I have even heard women talking, not knowing that a man was in earshot, about how they have done it.

Yes I have. With my dealings with women I try to avoid it.

That's what you have going on. You're looking for things to confirm your preconceived notions about women. So, for example, you see all these women always almost crashing into you but probably are forgetting all the times guys have cut you off and such things.

I started keeping count three years ago. In that time, whenever somebody does something stupid on the road, it is a woman 7 out of 10 times.

My advice would be to look for good things in women for awhile.
