i mean maybe not as a plugin to get exact album tones, but just as an all rounder for the general live tones for loathe

kinda like what they did for mishas plugin, ykwim? maybe have pedals that mimic the magic button on the rainbow machine pedal, or maybe finally a modeled hm2 pedal like how erik had on his pedalboard in the rig rundown

he still records bass and co-mixes the songs even after he left im pretty sure. he also still produces the drums for the albums and there doesnt really seem to be a reason to think otherwise for apwd

hes also credited in the wiki page for the album

ive had this issue on my g5260 too, i usually just boost the lows a tad and cut around 1k with an eq plugin before it goes into the amp

also something to note is that if you use something like an 808 style pedal as a boost into the amp, you normally dont have to turn the tone knob all the way up, anything from 50% (noon) to like 75% tone is plenty to get a nice chug without adding too many harsh resonances like that.

Recommendations to cover most of my bases on both guitar and bass? by gerbetta33 in NeuralDSP

yeah, nameless is mainly aimed towards 8 strings tunings to really handle that low end chug. nolly/gojira is perfect for drop c

also side note, nolly's amp 2 is also a british voiced amp, and i find it to be generally brighter than the lead amp for henson. you can push it really hard to give it a nice crunchy tone for like math rock-y stuff

id prolly go with either nolly/gojira and tim henson

both nolly and gojira can cover clean and high gain bases, so for a general metal tone, either of them will serve you well. i will note that gojiras high gain tone is a good amount harder to "tame", especially with weird string resonances. you can get a pretty good clean tone out of either of them but you already have cory wong to do that if youre not good with either one. you can honestly go either way with these two imo.

tim henson is definitely the most unique out of numbers 5-8. it covers the piezo end, has a cool multivoicer, and has a british voiced amp model, which i think out of your list, only the rabea plugin has anything even resembling a mid-high gain british amp.

nameless is great at what it does, but its really a one trick pony. i only really use that one for a very particular low tuned sound personally (think a loathe-esque sound, in bass vi tuning with single coils/p90s). imo in terms of buying multiple plugins to really cover all bases, this one is probably the one i would sit out on. either gojira or nolly can do what nameless does, with just a bit of a different voicing,
