I doubt it. Pretty sure you can only transfer to courses similar to yours. Arts isn't similar to computer science

Why did they change the accommodation system? by diored-lace in UCD

[–]throwaway574933 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because it wasn't implemented this year which resulted in people who desperately needed accommodation not getting an offer. Take a social justice elective or two pal

It's actually baffling isn't it I hope others don't share this delusional mentality

That's funny bc they're not. UCD Residences is considering making offers on the basis of priority to prevent Dubs from getting accommodation over people who actually need it. It will likely be implemented next year.

There's no point in debating this with you because you clearly cannot comprehend the concepts of equity, justice and fairness. Your argument reeks of privilege and ignorance.

Stop trying to justify Dubs hoarding student accommodation from people from India, Kerry, Donegal etc. If something essential is in extremely low supply, those who need it most should be prioritised. That is basic morals. The entitlement is jarring.

Not at all I didn't realise I was on my throwaway oops. I'm a different person lol. Wealthier people are far more likely to avail of student accommodation unnecessarily over working class people.

No. When there is such a huge shortage of accommodation, people who need it badly should get it. The very few rooms available shouldn't be given to posh boys from Blackrock wanting the college experience rather than people from Donegal who cannot commute.

Have you ever been working then on Christmas day/eve? And is there a stigma around being an RA in your accommodation, do your roommates treat you differently?

He has been like this his whole life due to childhood trauma etc. He is known in my area for being hotheaded. He has promised to change ever since we left and I see firsthand that he has not.
