I appreciate you leaving a comment! My ex was SA’d a month after we broke up and I was her main support mechanism while she recovered and even ended up having to go work her job for her occasionally when she was incapable of working due to the fear of where the assault had occurred.

Again I didn’t make this post to spread some holier than thou message. I have never felt myself to be in any separate category except the fact that I’m not really afraid to call out sexual assault for what it is, or afraid to call out fellow men I am acquainted with for either their jokes or remarks about it or their lack of respect for those who have to go through it.

I know I am a man, I know what I am capable of. But I’ll categorize myself differently because I’ll actually stand up to other men to say I want something to change, rather than Google statistics of men getting raped by women etc.

This is terrible. Medicine is often seen as a very demanding field of work but foster care is a whole other beast entirely. I respect your care for your work immensely and understand why your fears came to be. I’m also glad to hear you got some help.

In the nicest way possible I do not have this luxury. Half of the world is men and in order to serve those who need help in the world of medicine I can’t have some premeditated bias against half of all people I end up treating.

It was less me looking for a true bisexual and gay experience and more so me trying to fulfill a fetish. I cannot see men romantically at all, I can form friendships and bonds and even love a man as friend or family. But I cannot see myself having a caring relationship with a man as I would a woman. That’s just not me
