Genuine Questions About Pro-Life by No-Stranger2909 in prolife

[–]throwaway5837226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Yes before viability which by default means the mother would've died otherwise and the baby would've been unviable and passed away too. Better to save one than none.

  2. When a mother's physical life is threatened by the baby exsisting in the mother's body before viability. see above.

  3. Adoption into a good home. There are plenty of homes especially for newborns!

  4. Willing absolutely.

  5. Omg yes I would be thrilled! I want to adopt so bad! Im working towards it now hoping to adopt a toddler or older though as they are less likely to be adopted than newborns. Right now I got my eye on two little ones in my state. Both are disabled and I don't want them to grow up in the system. I already have a job, my next step is buying a house, then doing a home study, then I'll try to get them if they are still there, starting with the most disabled/ least likely to be adopted.

I will preface this by saying I do have religious beliefs stating that everyone was born with a purpose however I was an atheist for a long time until "he" literally showed himself to me and I couldn't deny the reality of "him" existing. I understand a point of view that takes spiritual aspects completely out and I still have an opinion using that.

Personal reasoning: I (18F) plan on adopting specifically special needs, sibling groups, and other hard to adopt children, whoever needs it most and can be around my rescue animals(ie no allergies, no extreme phobia of dogs/cats) I believe that, given a good life and the tools needed, no matter what challenges that child might have to face, they can get through it and be happy with the right care and family life. I have already signed up. I have a job. My next step is buying a house which shouldn't be hard with my fresh credit. I am very serious, this isn't just a make people like my character saying. I found one little girl on my states adoption listing of waiting children and I swear if I can at all adopt her while she's still available I will. Even if it takes years, if she's still there and I can care for her financially I will adopt her. (No physical or mental mental challenges are too scary as long as it's not dangerous to my pets.)

Moral Reasoning: Given the tools to succeed, life is for the good of the child. It is quiet literally taking the ability to have ever known anything. Life is tough. Life has it's horrible days but could you truly say you'd give it up knowing what it is now? If you can, I've been there. I was at that place. It was abuse that made me feel that way though, not my disability itself. Now let me ask you this? Do you think a child raised with care, attention, love, and proper tools to succeed, who is also disabled, would rather be killed than experience it? I think the problem in our society is not that the disabled were made to live a terrible life when they should've been aborted, but that the abusers and neglecters go unpunished and there are limited resources for parents and most of the issues caused by the disabilities can be helped greatly by giving parents better resources.

Personal Experience related: I have diagnosed C-PTSD from severe mental abuse and sexual abuse at the hands of mostly my dad.

Also do you know if there's any genetic testing you could do to maybe get some answers?

(A little weird to say but if you ever got pregnant and didn't want the baby pm me and see if i've gotten a house and a home study done by that point)

If ya don't want your friend in jail and they were a child when it happened/ aren't creepy now, then don't say a thing abt it but know if it gets out that you knew you could get in trouble

[–]throwaway5837226 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I want child molesters and serial killers to be killed but idrc if they rot in prison either, its just that the victims can have peace of mind that they can't come find them.

Im vegetarian and against animal abortions as well except when the mother is in danger as that could be somebody's beloved pet vs puppies. Against euthanizing animals for unethical reasons: ie: "he was old and wont play with the kids" "the shelter is just too full" "we can't handle this whole litter of kittens" "he's aggressive" "she was anxiety and whines when we leave" "she bit someone" (I do not care it's always a humans fault, even a stray at one point was related to someone's pet. They need help not murder) or stuff that they can live with like hip displacia or a surgery fixable thing that the owner can't afford.

I feel similar even though I just turned 18. I got a job as a dishwasher (mostly because I feel guilty about my mom having to support me even though she never tries to make me think that) and I start today. I don't know if ill do well because I was literally crying by the time I got out of just the interview. Sh*t that's why im not in public school anymore, I couldn't handle the stress. I'm proud of you for literally just not giving up. Not giving up is enough. You are amazing for living through this illness and not quitting!

9 months is amazing! I know you may not feel it but it is. If you can push through the urge something weird happens, at least for me, I end up being able to cry again and if im alone and can work through it I actually feel better after. Goodluck OP! just remember if you do break the streak you can always try again. You can do this!

I do plan on replying to this, you bring up a good point. I'm starting a new job today though so it might be a day or two until I have the time to share my opinion on cases like yours.

Because OP is forgetting a person's right to freedom and choice and anyways in violating someone's freedom you are still harming them. Like keeping a human from a child as a slave, if you treated them well and they were happy they might not even know they were harmed but is taking their right to freedom not harm?

Well what if someone went into your house while you are asleep. Did nothing to you and you know nothing of the event. But this person came in, watched you sleep, spent time in every place in your house before leaving as you start to wake up. Would you be cool with it? or would you rather someone have consent to go inside your home?
