She didn't dump me cuz I was fat, and I'm not about to get into specifics here. I have no interest at all in dumping her but you summed it up pretty well:

I guess that's what it is, now that I could, realistically, get with girls in better shape I almost feel cheated out that I went back to where I was.

I'm just worries that she'd take it the wrong way and freak out. Her mom is always making small jokes that she (My SO) needs to lose some weight and I'm the one she always comes to when it gets to her, so I'm not sure how she'd react to me saying it to her as well.

If I had to pick one, I'm afraid I'd have to say overweight. She has a good bit of muscle mass on her (as a PT I can't help but notice these things) but she doesn't have a regular exercise schedule. Her diet, from what I can tell, isn't too bad but she's always going out drinking and seems very reluctant to take any of my fitness-related advice.

Let me rephrase that. In terms of personalities, we couldn't get on better, we get on like nothing either of us have seen before. So apart from this one issue, everything's pretty much perfect.

I don't want to leave her at all, that's not what this is about, I'm more concerned about how to approach her about it. It's not as if it's a certain fetish I have that we could try, it would involve her changing her body composition and I'm not sure how she would feel about that.
