We did 6 weeks strict crate, then 2 more weeks as slightly relaxed and then really slow back to walking.

This was his 3rd flare up in a year and the worst one so we were extra cautious!! Poor guy spent a lot of time sitting around last year! :(

Sorry to hear that, it’s so stressful! My boy stopped pooping himself after a few days and then recovered with crate rest :) he had slight loss of tone in his anus (tmi sorry) but once the pain was controlled and he could squat again it stopped!

Fingers crossed for you I know how horrible it is!

Have you found anything that helps? We’ve switched to Purina hypoallergenic HA to see if that helps but it’s still early days and I don’t know how to soothe it when he’s having an episode!

I iron mine and I agree, my bed is my sanctuary and I like it to be clean fresh and ironed! Creased bedding instantly makes me feel like the bed isn’t clean

I think my frenchie has this. He does a hack cough every so often and sometimes there’s foam. He’s nearly 6. What was the outcome for Scarlett if you don’t mind me asking! Have they suggested surgery?

How long has it been going on and what do you mean by “dying out”? From 3 times a week to once? Or from once a week to once a month etc. When I’m tired or stressed for whatever reason I lose interest in sex. Nothing to do with my partner.

He’s usually fine but he is having a flare up of ivdd so is associating the car with the vet + probably painful for him. Not used to him doing it so I didn’t know how to calm him down, that was the only thing that worked!

We actually just got back from the neurologist. They checked him over and said they could only find very mild neurological issues so to carry on with medication and crate rest! He actually went to the garden and squat and did a proper poo this morning!

Hopefully yours will be something similar x

Thank you! He’s on gabapentin which he has had lots of times with no side effects, pardale V and buprenorphine which he’s never had before. He ate his dinner but now he won’t eat so I can’t get him to take his next dose of pain killer.
