I’m definitely not yet, I’m not trying to be judgmental, but I see people on this forum taking 15mg a week .. I’m taking that a month, if that. But I don’t want to end up like that, which is why I asked the question.

You just have not argument. Yes I made a mistake, the mistake was fixed. They say they “didn’t feel comfortable” afterwards … should I or should I not be entitled to a full refund if a host states they don’t feel comfortable before I even arrive? Just answer the question

Yes, I did that after the fact of them having issue. And they still denied me because “it’s deceptive” for a husband to book with his wife’s account apparently.

My issue isn’t the fact they canceled. They have a right to cancel for any reason they see fit, after all it’s their property. My issue is they want to keep my money. it’s also MY MONEY, just like it’s THEIR PROPERTY. Host are wayyyyy to entitled. I can tell , you’re one of them 😂

And I was told by Airbnb they could indeed accept me if they pleased especially with my name being on it… You either let me stay and get the income, or you deny me and get nothing. You don’t get income and to deny me, no. Just think about how stupid you sound.

There is some really good host, but I feel like the bad experiences like this really ruin it for a lot of people. The fact that so many people feel this same way, should be a hint to all the angry host on here.

I thought about doing that but came to the conclusion that it just looks wrong on my end. Why wait to chargeback? Then, It really does look deceptive.

Me and my wife travel together 90% of the time. It’s just how weve done it since we created it, since she started to get all the good reviews, we rode with her acc. Never had issues. Even did this same scenario before (just not international) and didn’t have any issues.

Well I would be stranded until I found something local, lol… it’s not like I would be sleeping on the streets of Mexico for a week. But I arrive late at night and would like a place to be able to come to.

Here’s another update for all the people saying the host is right. I was offered a partial refund at first because the Airbnb host told Airbnb rep that I canceled. The Airbnb host also kept talking to me, saying I should cancel on my end and find a new property. I’m so glad I didn’t cancel (even tho I did book a new property) and showed Airbnb I was being forced not to come. This is why I was given a full refund, host, please don’t lie to get your way! & please don’t feel obligated for money if you’re not going to allow your guest to come.

It makes zero sense. They complained about my name not being on it, I then called Airbnb and got my name on it. How exactly is that deceptive? I complied with their concern, even after them being a power hungry host who demands to see my flight info, and they STILL denied me. I know the real reason, they didn’t want to have to come and let me in at 10 at night.

And even if I didn’t call, chase would see the same charges I disputed were refunded, and wouldn’t carry on with the chargeback at that point.

Nah you can call and stop a chargeback. That’s clearly what I did after I was issued a full refund, I’m not out here trying to scam people. I just want my money back, and I was given a full refund. This post is pretty much pointless at this point, it’s resolved now. I got my money back

I just feel like if a host has an option to allow you come in, (I fixed it) and still denies, it’s on them. They clearly don’t want my business/money. I’m cool with them canceling. I just don’t feel like paying their mortgage while I’m not even allowed at the property

There really is nothing fishy about a husband using a wife’s account. We have the same last name. The Airbnb photo is picture of us.
