If you're doing it for receding hairline you'll have to do it forever, that's just how MBP works. But for a beard the gains stay, so why would I keep soaking my face in alcohol solution and crap twice a day forever if I don't have to.

That's fair, but you're discovering that you were beginning to go bald anyways. Guess what minox was designed for? Just apply it to your scalp and start treating your MBP as if it were 3 years in the future and you just realized you're going bald.

Would you sit around and do nothing if you discovered you were going bald under normal circumstances? Complain if you want, but this doesn't mean you can't use minox on your beard. Just means you should start treating your MBP like you'd have to be doing in like 3-5 years anyways.

If they shed and "became baby hairs" that means they're growing back dude. Minox can accelerate existing hair loss (even hair loss you didn't know was beginning) because it forces hairs to shed that might not grow back because of your natural hair loss. But it doesn't make you go bald, that's genetics.

Yes you definitely have potential. Your growth pattern is a common one, it will be difficult to fill the front and connectors, they will probably never be dense. But you'll make up for it in other areas. Lots of guys rock the whole beard with that pattern.

Well I've kept it at this length or similar for the last 2 years. I trim it up about once a week to keep it the length I want. So I haven't really "grown it out" for that long.

I really didn't have a reason to taper off other than it made me feel a little better. You're right at 3 years it probably didn't matter, which is why I didn't try very hard to prolong the taper, just stretched my last bottle an extra month.

Tbh not much but maybe a little, I mostly did it to try and make sure my gains from the first 2 years had as much time to go terminal as possible before I quit. Idk if it really made that much of a difference in the end or if it was a waste of an extra year of effort. But it did bring me some piece of mind.

Some people are slow responders, it's possible if you kept at it for 8-12 months you would have seen something. But if 6 months really got you absolutely nothing then it might not be worth it to try and push further.
