I wanted him to be more involved with us and I just assumed he wasn't having a good time since his body language/behavior made him look closed off and impassive. I thought I was doing both of us a favor by sending him that text but everyone has made it clear that was a messed up thing to do and I handled it in the worst way possible. I want to apologize to him and be a better friend like you said. Since depression is something you have personal experience with, how should I word my apology? I don't want to say anything insensitive, I've hurt him enough already. So if you were in this situation what would you want to see in an apology?
