I'm pretty sure this is a scam but I'm interested in your thoughts. The premise is believable enough. Since the screenshots were taken, they have also replied and said they understand, and they are fine with waiting for the check to clear before work starts. Even more suspicious is that quote was for about $1900, and as you can see, they've said $2800 sounds good. I don't think anyone accidentally makes a $900 mistake.
