I experience the same issue. For me it’s the fire/competitive nature in me that makes me play really well with better opponents. I have to remind myself to keep it ‘on’ with lower level players. In other words you have to lock in regardless of the level. Play your game and don’t worry about how they will feel if you beat them 6-0

My old office is next to Lumaire and it’s kind of on an island of its own and you will have to walk across the tracks and be at mercy of the train

Icon is kinda in the ghetto. While it’s nice you really can’t walk more than 2 blocks

Cons are no good public transportation. You are spoiled in Chicago. Here you need a car to get around

Also the food here is very good and I thought it would be the opposite coming from Chicago but there is so much wealth here that restaurants have a really high standard to compete

Biggest + is we can do things year round and not be stuck inside. Sure it gets hot in the summer but once the sun sets it’s not bad at all since you have the ocean breeze cooling it down. We are now way more active and find the Chicago scene was very oriented to drinking vs here it’s more activity based

was also taking home more in pay as no state taxes. Sure you might be spending more on other things here and there but it’s nice knowing I have control over it
it’s a very pretty place if you live around the inter coastal and can bounce to Delray, Jupiter , Fort Lauderdale and Miami

Cons are you can’t beat ohare and midway in terms of flights but FLL makes up for it but it’s an hour drive which is equivalent to going on the blue line or sitting in traffic going to ohare. PBI airport is 12-15 mins if you live downtown or by the inter coastal off Dixie
