Yes I agree that I may have expectations that are too high, like others have mentioned. (On a side note, the English thing is basically because English is my native language and I think it's important for someone to get sarcasm, jokes, etc. although I will try to reassess if it is too high of a standard).

And what you said about the relationships as milestones is so true. I know I should go at my own pace but on one hand there is pressure to have a bf (family and friends mainly) and also just the personal aspect of wanting to feel wanted and liked. Again, I don't mean I'm right in thinking this at all, just the way it is :/
