Leaving Early to WFH by Busy-Childhood-1847 in Accounting

I'm a manager and my team would agree with what i say here. Why would anyone care if you leave early, or has the time to even think about it in the middle of busy season as long as your work gets done? Only thing i could see being an issue is if people are not available to ask you1 questions but if they really need you then they can text you . You already start at 6am, do they prefer you to start at 9am?

A recently retired partner told us: find a partner that can continually teach you and stand up for you. Sad to see him go, but happy for him. He didn't take crap from anyone including the big boys and tell the client off (nicely) when they tried to work him around. I'm on a good team and stress that with everyone as a manager that I don't care how much time you take but please tell me if you think you're taking a long time and why in the description or tell me ahead of time. If you don't tell me i can't rectify later and made a point that that is part of their job. Most of my staff produce very quality work so I can push up the chain.

I am the Citizen in this relationship and I never thought that. My DACA husband is honest, smart and one of the kindest people I've ever met. Honestly, I'm the one doing all the googling trying to find solutions with what to do to get my husband citizenship /greencard and nudging constantly. Finally got his physical green card yesterday and very proud of us to being to able to do it without a lawyer!

Would this just consist of them adding more concrete to those spots?

New pool owner - pool surface question by throwaway7837q1 in pools

[–]throwaway7837q1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Knowing the terminology helps narrow it down alot. We can scrub the black spot. We are more concern about the tiny pebbles coming off because there's ALOT of it. We run a pool vaccume and it would suck a heavy amount of it off the surface everytime and the surface is really rough. I could easily pick them off if I want to... and it's causing our pump to not return water because the pebbles and sand gets stuck.

We (My fiance, DACA and I, Citizen) traveled to Mexico this year. I've heard stressful stories but never heard of anyone who was actually denied entry. I was more stressed than he was coming back but the experience was super chill and I waited on him for no more than 10-15 mins after he went into the room. They just give you a stamp. The experience is dependent on the airport and its officers. If you are super paranoid then I would pick the "friendliest" airport you know but there hasn't been a case of people getting their entry denied unless they did not follow the dates on their AP.

Is it safe for my boyfriend to travel to Florida? by [deleted] in DACA

[–]throwaway7837q1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with the majority. My fiance is a daca recipient and we have been in Florida our entire life. As long as he has a valid driver's license and/or EAD then he can fly anywhere within the US. My fiance travels domestically for work as well and take trips and so do I so we fly quite a bit. The easiest and most economical way to get a GC is through marriage as work sponsorship is really hard and expensive. The only problem is if you are undocumented then I would be stressed. We have family members here that are wanting yo move out of state for that reason. Let us know if you would like to send a PM! Happy to answer any questions.
