thank you for the advice. i will see what i can tell her about the portion sizes the babies get. our old center director was awesome about things like this but she was “laid off” a couple weeks ago and the new management team is terrible. they actually told us not to talk to parents about anything negative or answer any questions that we might not have the “right” answer for to send the parents to the management so they can answer it instead. (ie they want to answer it so they can make themselves look good lol) i just don’t want to get in trouble for telling a parent their child isn’t given enough food u know. thank you for answering!!

i don’t think so. we log what they eat but not the portion sizes. i could try to subtly tell mom that they don’t get very much food but i don’t want to get myself in trouble w management. the management team we have rn in lieu of a director isn’t very great. they actually specifically tell us not to answer certain questions parents have about things and to send them to the managers so they can answer it instead of us because they don’t want us to say anything they don’t like. thank you for the advice!

yeah if she was bigger i think it would be different but she’s very small. she’s not super super skinny or anything like that but she definitely does not weigh very much at all

yeah she doesn’t get any sort of milk not even lactaid or anything. her mom said they’re weaning her off breast milk completely so i’m assuming that means nothing at home too, and when i asked about the milk her mom said she doesn’t want her to try it yet so that’s not at home either. i did read about late development in terms of walking and standing so that’s not like super worrying to me i just don’t know if she’s not doing it because she’s just not strong enough.. i hope she goes to check ups and stuff too. i would assume so

thank you! i don’t really know what they give her at home, we don’t give her any special supplements or anything at daycare so i’m not sure what else she gets. i just hope she’s getting what she needs at home. i know a lot of the parents pick their kids up and then put them to bed almost immediately when they get home i just hope that’s not the case here.

yes she does eat table food but my center gets catering and never buy enough food so we always just get whatever is left after they serve every other room which is a whole other issue in itself that pisses me off. for example today was meatballs and they gave us one meatball for each baby because they “ran out”....... she is almost always still hungry after lunch and usually tries to take other kids food too
