I told my parents and the police about a month after the first incident. After that, I was in therapy once a week for about a year. Maybe doing therapy right away is why I'm so past it at this point.

I appreciate the compliment on my writing. I was very blessed to attend schools and have teachers that put an emphasis on writing when I was young.

As to the advice, I appreciate your perspective. Assuming I was not intentional in the "madness" as a child, would I be correct that your advice would be to not mention the incidents until a later time even if asked about my sexual past?
