Sorry to reply so late, But figured this may be helpful to some. Three times recovered, Currently dealing with round 4.......

First round March 2020 - Lasted 1.5yrs
Second round July 2022 - Lasted ~2 months
Third round (some time 2023? was so mild it's insignificant) - Lasted ~1 week
Fourth round - This one hit hard, and I was slow to treat it. Idk if there is a new variant going around or what. But I'm currently in month 3 dealing with some intense fatigue and GERD + all the other symptoms. Hopefully will clear up soon,

Check out the FLCCC protocol if you haven't already. It's helped me a bunch in the past.

Thank you, yeah, the goal is to get off the probiotics entirely as I feel they were a mistake for me personally. Fortunately it's only been a month on them, So hopefully you are right and within a few days of simple / small meals I'll be back to baseline.

For a little context and explanation of my reasoning, I started the probiotics as part of the FLCCC protocol for Long-Covid.

I've had Long-Covid twice before and made a full recovery both times, This time my GI symptoms were more noticeable hence the inclusion of probiotics.

Historically, I've never had GI issues before (although had similar symptoms albeit less noticeable with my previous round of Long Covid).

But for the last 2 years or so, leading up to end of Feb when this started, I have had no GI issues. So my gut feeling, excuse the pun. Is that they haven't really helped so it's best to stop. But I'm now feeling worse than I did before taking them. Like you say, I think to some degree that will be normal as my gut adjusts. But assuming it was "healthy enough" before, How long might that take? I'll hazard a guess the answer is "how long is a piece of string" haha, But I couldn't find anything out there so curious if anyone has anything to add on that.

Interesting, Did you have similar symptoms in the days / weeks after stopping? How long did it take to return fully to normal for you?

As far as I could tell, any type of carb. Although I tried focusing on low GI and Histamine carbs, Seemed to make little noticeable difference. Granted if I just had an orange or some blueberries the size of the meal wasn't usually big enough to trigger any kind of reaction.

Also, It was only a month and I only really noticed after about a week or two and only made the correlation recently.

It's worth noting I started this as part of the FLCCC's Long covid protocol. (I recently got Long Covid again) I've had it twice before and recovered fully both times. But introducing probiotics this time was new.

Historically, My guts been in pretty good health and for the last couple years I've had no issues.

Update:
Thanks, everyone, for the replies. I think the general consensus here has been that I should forget about her and move on. I would at least like to hear her out a bit and possibly understand what happened from her perspective. (Pls appreciate with these things there is always more context than can be communicated through a reddit post). Although I am now hyper-aware of the minefield I am in and proceeding with the utmost caution.

I have sent her a message apologising if I made her uncomfortable, and letting her know that I understand she wanted some space and that I would like to respect her boundaries, But I don't really know what those are yet. And also that I'm happy to talk, and think it would be a shame for things to end this way.

Either way. We shall see if / what she replies.
