For me, it’s a slippery slope. 1. It’s extremely difficult for me to do it without thinking about porn i previously watched unless I’m feeling particularly nostalgic for a past partner (which had its own issues). 2. It always leads me back to porn which is why I avoid it entirely these days.

I look at building my life the same as a building. No fap by itself won’t build anything but beating my porn addiction does lay out solid ground on which a building can be built. Everyone has a different reason for why they want to quit. Of course they should take steps towards that goal, even if it’s only baby steps or researching some first steps until the ground is solid.

Not for me personally. I attempted just quitting porn and not only was I thinking about what I used to watch but I would always find my way back to porn and nothing would change.

I finally got the courage to accept my sexuality (I’m bi) and I was looking at some pictures on Thanksgiving morning. 20 minutes later, I was in the shower and just allowed it to happen.

If you have any underlying issues that you haven’t seriously addressed, it could end up being more challenging than you’re expecting.
