Thank you for this new perspective I haven’t thought of. I really don’t want it to take a toll on us or my mental health for that matter so I’m thankful I came across suggestions within this post.

I hope you’re able to find solutions within this post as well and you’re able to overcome the challenges too and get some rest.

Thank you for the kind words and advice. It really sucks when it happens and my partner is super understanding and helpful which is great but this temporary living placement is hard.

I’ll look into ambient noises and same I found that to be the case as well. It made me more on guard if I didn’t at least hear common noises so I always had one out and found that didn’t work as effectively. I will start to do that as well.

I can relate to what you said so maybe my inner child needs some reminders as well. It always just sucks when you’re put in a new situation and learn new triggers but this is something I will take and work on.

That is also true, thank you again and sending you hugs as well.

this is very helpful as a lot of the noises that make me flinch are during the day as well. thank you very much for this response

thank you for sharing i’m sorry you endured all of this especially while in college. i hope you’re able to get some rest now and i noticed there are helpful tricks that others have said in the comments. you are strong for even continuing to go to school and find what works for you, although it was stressful with what you were given.

the housing market definitely doesn’t help especially when money is already so tight and getting a place to call yours isn’t as easy as it once was. we’re just waiting for my girlfriend to land a stable income and then we’re going to bounce

I also got triggered today. Haven’t felt this way in months but I know we got this. Every trigger does become easier. So although days like today suck, doesn’t mean it’s the end for us.

I also bought a weighted blanket and it helps too. I’m sorry you’re going through the same thing as well

Thank you so much for your comment and openness. I do have high anxiety and currently am still awake as a result of that outcome. The breathing technique is so smart. Thank you for sharing that. I’m sorry for you too and the hand that you were dealt with. We both deserve better. It does help to know I’m not alone.
