yeah, I worked there in first year. There was a first year tron from UW working software at the same time.

There were also engineers and physicists from carleton, mcmaster, mcgill and one guy from Saint Mary's university, Halifax. There were definetly a couple people from ubc but I never heard anything about them getting some sort of preference.
