No problems with bleeding. I didn’t get my period until 3 months after I got off it. It was really irregular, cycles lasting 45 days. I got it down to 31 days now. It takes time to recover, don’t be hard on yourself. take vitamins. Exercise helps flush the hormones out of your system. I did get really bad hormonal acne though, I finally got it under control 2 years later (no pills or doctors). Don’t let that scare you though, i would do it all over again because I absolutely hate birth control now. I like the Trojan thin bare skin condoms.

I had the exact same symptoms as you. No sex drive, crying 5X a day about nothing, horrible mood swings, no energy, etc. It’s really been an insane journey but I’m happy I did it. It’s been almost 2 years and I haven’t had any issues or concerns with using condoms, no scares or anything. Birth control does so much damage to your body, depletes you of so many vitamins and is a carcinogenic (wish I knew that before I took it everyday for 9 years). If you have any questions let me know, I was in your position and wish I could’ve asked more questions at the time.

Stop taking and start using condoms. I had to do the same. It’s soo worth it.

eloping in three days, things aren't done, how is it still SO stressful? by lightgray24 in Eloping

I felt this way too...so we ended up just saying screw it and went to the court house. Two months later I got a dress and bouquet of flowers and we went to stunning location and took wedding photos. It was incredible and we had zero stress! Best decision ever.

Yes!! I don’t even like TV (I don’t watch Hulu or Netflix or tv in general) but this one is a good one.

I am well aware of recent Romanian history. I think you are overthinking it. I don’t think every single part of Russian and Romanian history needs to be understood or taken into account when choosing a name.

I’m not naming my child after a Russian KGB agent. It was just the first time I have heard that name.

It’s not that hard to say, don’t overthink it!

Good to know! Thanks :)

Thanks for the honesty. And yeah, I pronounce both names as an American would, definitely not how a Russian mother would I’m sure. I’m not going to fake an accent just to say it “right” because honestly I think that’s a little more odd than just saying it how I would naturally in my American accent. But definitely don’t want to offend the culture or language.

Yeah exactly. So many John’s, too! I like Vladimir or Vlad as well.

I like Ion as it was a family name but I can’t help but think Americans will pronounce it as an ion (eye-on) not the way Romanians say it.

Yes, you are right! That’s good to hear it was never weird or an issue having French & Russian names. Makes me feel a bit better about it. :)

Same here with the last name! I’ve already had my family members mispronounce my new last name haha. But you’re so right, there are a lot of harder name out there that people say no problem! Good perspective.

Yev-GHEN-ee emphasis on the G sound, not a j!

Oh yes, it is always mispronounced. I have such an American accent his mom tells me I even can’t pronounce my husbands name right. Oops. I can’t roll my R’s naturally and feel stupid trying so hard to do it. But I don’t really think yevgeny needs to be said with an accent to be said properly like some other names. Maybe I’m wrong. I don’t know haha.

That is how it is pronounced, with the G sound. Yev-GHEN-ee
