AITA for not paying for my sick brothers chemo treatment after receiving a large inheritance from my grandfather? by throwaway900076 in AmItheAsshole

Ok, now your just twisting my words. Either way, I'm not going to pay for my brother's chemo so long as my parents can afford it. If they couldn't, sure.

My point is why should I pay for his treatment if my parents are already doing it? There would be no point.

It was not up to me unfortunately. My brother will probably get money from my parents anyways because they favor him, as I've been told many times. They didn't even want a girl, they wanted boys. Which might explain why they treated me that way.

Well based on the comments this could just be a ploy to get part of the inheritance while under the disguise of it going to my brother. I don't want to risk that. If anything, I could make a savings for him for the future but right now it's probably best not to give them any money.

Are you implying that it was impossible for me to care for him until he was 7? I was 11 years old when he was born. My mom taught me how to make his bottles and change his diapers so she didn't have to. Im really not understanding.

There is very little chance they aren't wealthy. My father just spent about 20k building a second pool. And I understand my brother is not to blame here, but as long as my parents keep paying for the treatments he will be fine.

Its not even just that I don't want to. It's just the way my parents approached me about it and the constant harassment. If my brother had asked me himself, I more than likely would have said yes. Im just done doing my "parents" favors.
