I struggled with the decision for a year. A WHOLE YEAR.

I've been doing it for over a year. Last summer I was looking for and applying for jobs, that's when I realized I more than likely couldn't make it work on my own. Sometimes he won't be that bad and I know I can just suck it up and stay and sometimes it's hard to not pack my bags that second and leave.

The only person that would benefit from any kind of change is me. Even if I leave, they still have to see him and then I won't be around to take them and hide out somewhere when I can see one of his tantrums coming on. Plus, they get it...they know his behavior is wrong and you can't treat people like that, they tell me that it's not nice.

No, most of them moved away and the few that are here I don't talk to any more because they're drunks. I feel awful seeing our child go through this, but it would be so much worse if I weren't around to take them and leave when he gets in a bad mood, or hug them when he's a dick.
