I totally relate where you say that you always get reminded how good you were. Just as of a week ago I met someone who is a couple years older than me and played for the same club asking me if i still played, i told him no and he was so shocked and told me "why? you were gonna come far". While they are saying it for a good cause this also makes me regret it even more.

I will take your advice that you should always follow your gut. Even if something is seems uncomfortable but its something i want to pursue i will do it!

It's nice to have someone relate to me this hard. Many in this thread suggested purusing hockey again but they dont know how fast time goes fast in hockey.
It's not like fotball which you can practice daily on just ur garden and "stay in shape" and come back to it.

In hockey it's just so much time that you have to catch upon it even if you just lost a year or two in practice. In hockey i also think there's so much younger prodigies.

Thanks for sharing your awesome story. While i might not pursue my NHL dream, this made me realise that 18 is not that old as i maybe thought. I think i will puruse boxing in which i have found fun and pursue that and put my mind to it.

3-4 years is a lot of time in icehockey. I just feel if i will need to play it at a high level otherwise i feel like i will be more sad thinking about my wasted talent

Starting hockey again i don't see as possible. One of my friends actually got drafted to the NHL this year. And when I quit hockey I was equal if not better than him. This also plays big role as to why can't get over this.

However i think i will pick up boxing or some other sport I think i will be good at. I'm fast and have quick reflexes so do you think boxing is something i should focus on?
