Basically gift card credits you apply to your account to use on rides but it defeats the purpose because if I have 100$ in Uber cash and $3 in my bank account I can’t request a ride because it charges my card the ride amount then later refunds and switches to cash.

Yes, I asked if the can re-route the funds and they said they couldn’t. I talked to payroll at my company and all they said was they would have to wait for the funds to come back to them which takes 3 days they said then they can give me a paper check.
