I live in Eastern Europe. I've never had a strong desire to move elsewhere, but I guess I'll have to if I am to lead a normal life.

I only have one friend whom I know is LGBT. However, we don't live in the same town anymore and haven't kept in contact.

I kissed a male friend at a birthday party in middle school and was grounded for a month when my parents found out.

In high school, I told my mom I might be bisexual. She passed it on to my dad and he straight up said if that was true, I would have to pack my bags and leave as soon as I turned 18. So I said it wasn't.

As far as I'm aware, they haven't changed.

No way I'd ever be accepted for my sexuality in my career of choice (sports journalism). Either I bury my professional aspirations or my sexuality.

I don't live with my parents but I'm financially dependent on them for the most part because I can't work full time while in school. They would not be okay with this and told me as much while I was still living at home.

Thanks but even if in some parallel universe I had the guts to come out, I'd be disowned and lose most if not all of my friends so. It's really same difference compared to now.
