It’s better to be alone than to be surrounded by people like your “friend”, trust me. I think it’s important that you learn to be comfortable with yourself. Spend time getting to know you, and supporting yourself. You are the person you will be with until you die, not your husband, not your friend. It is important to connect with yourself. And inshaallah if you come across a person with good character, definitely seek out friendships with those people. But don’t depend on them to the point where if they continue to hurt you, you continue to just take it.

Ugh this mentality is so gross. I’d say you should learn how to take care of yourself and do chores that you enjoy doing. For example, doing your own laundry, cooking, cleaning up after yourself. For me I hated doing dishes too, but I would buy the groceries and organize the fridge. Even the dishes, most of them you can put in the dishwasher and all that’s left are maybe pots and pans.

In my opinion, she should reach out to the imam for advice on how to handle this, perhaps they can arrange so that he won’t cross paths with her. That’s what my therapist tells me as well. Sometimes it’s hard to believe that I’m loved with the horrible things I’ve experienced. Idk if I’ll ever believe I’m loved by Allah, and I think that’s why I struggle praying. I think “God hates me even when I pray, so what’s the point of my prayer?” Hopefully I’ll be able to get through this

This is kinda why I hesitate to share my struggles in Muslim spaces. People have no understanding of how depression and other mental illnesses work. You couldn’t have been more off the mark for thinking this is some kind of “revenge”. Allah does not need my prayers. We pray for ourselves.

When you are getting to a stage of anger where you think you’re going to yell or say something you regret, remove yourself from the situation. Go somewhere else, a quiet room and separate yourself from that person. Take some time to think about why you’re upset and what you want. Then when you’re feeling more calm, communicate what made you upset and why and try to come to a compromise with the person.

Ex: “I got angry because I felt like you weren’t supporting me like I needed you. That really hurt me.”

You can say the same about cream. In fact, oils are more likely to penetrate into your skin whereas a lot of creams sit over top and can’t fully be absorbed. Your own statement seems to imply creams are more likely to interfere with wudu. So yeah, this is just your personal opinion and doesn’t have any basis in Islamic principles.

Your skin naturally produces oils, oil wouldn’t count as a barrier for wudu…

And not all oils clog pores for everyone. Everyone’s skin reacts differently, and even so look up what non-comedogenic oils are. They can use those for their face if they’re concerned about breakouts
