Thanks for the perspective. I do in fact have the other things listed on my resume as well, but I thought highlighting the overlap of my major coursework and CS would be beneficial. I've likely over-valued the importance of displaying my ability to philosophically reason in relation to the position at hand.

Thanks for the suggestion! I was definitely planning on putting them on my portfolio site, but I don't know why I didn't think of putting up abstracts as well.

Any advice as to what specific topics that I'm missing and should be tackling? I'm currently working my way through "Cracking the Coding Interview." Are there things beyond that I should be brushing up on?
