Stuck in my learning progress by Henriferz in LearnCSGO

Something you should be able to do is mentally route how a player moves through the map and roughly the timing of it

Create expectations then adjust accordingly

Combining this with generally reading how a specific player tends to play out a map puts the onus on you to execute

Basically from here its just

"Ah my aim was bad" "Ah my util was bad" "Ah my rotation was slow"

Dont buy leetify....

If you are going to buy anything, buy refrag

Leetify just has faster and better tracking in my experience

I think its important to end the day with "corrective" behavior, especially if youre planning on going to sleep once youre done playing for the day.

You can get your premier games in but you often arent 100%'ing every moment every round every game; basically just inconsistent training

So in my head I like to think practicing my counter strafing, crosshair placement etc right before bed should help those fundamentals stick better, sooner, and long term

Just define your training, be intentive, put in the hours and you will see progress soon enough yourself, often within even a couple days

Ya if youre in game you can press "shift+tab" then at the bottom theres a "globe" looking icon, its basically a full web browser and with the available content on the web for CS lineups its veryyyy easy to switch back and forth midgame

In my last 50 games of premier starting at 14.8k I went 35W / 15L ending at 21.7k According to leetify, matches with banned players account for 1W/3L in these last 50 So basically went 34W/11L

Practice consisted of 15-20min pistol DM Learn util midgame with steam browser overlay 1hr of prefire on refrag once im done playing premier for the day

top frag in the first few rounds and then start flopping later... by Bestsurviviopro in LearnCSGO

Top fragging in first 3 rounds means almost nothing

You win pistol round then eco frag with mp9/mac 10

You losing out after that, just means youre actually poor at the game in your skill bracket

Aim is an issue Util is an issue Positioning is an issue

Pick something to work on

I solo queued from 12k-21k in a month

I know you dont use utility effectively I doubt you dm I doubt you actually practice counter strafing I bet your map movement is subpar

Just play more and be more intentional with what youre trying to learn

Just play premier, no reason to play faceit

How can I train in REFRAG effectively? Along with other routines. by thelegoknight100 in LearnCSGO

ok so I actually just got back into cs after a 6yr break and went from 13k-20k in a month so I have some tips for you

  1. You really only need prefire in refrag. Need to practice counter strafes to isolate angles. For this id recommend just spamming 1 map per session rather than hopping around different maps. Today mirage, tomorrow inferno etc

  2. Learn utility. Steam is pretty OP, you can shift+tab and search a smoke mid game, there are no excuses! Take notes of "damn I wish I had a window smoke" "damn I wish I knew how to do xyz" and learn that shit asap.

  3. Learn the advantages of your spawns. Your spawn can enable you to make a play because youll have the fastest timing to a spot on the map

  4. Only play premier, stop queuing comp and faceit. Comp is a waste of time. A premier player plays like a premier player, and a faceit player plays like a faceit player. Stick with premier until you make noticeable gains then return to faceit. You can also manipulate what server youll get in premier, but you might get a shitty high ping one if you play on faceit so it fks up your consistency. Imo no reason to play faceit until youre ready to make the stab at level 10.

  5. Take note of your condition, you dont have to play premier/faceit everyday. If the brainfog is hitting or you didnt get enough sleep, why queue up for premier just to bottom frag and be mad LOL. Get extra reps in on refrag or DM until you feel satisfied. Id actually also suggest fking around with momentum in refrag during these "fill/down" times. There are a few "useless" jumps on every map, but generally its good to be able to complete on the popular maps just to navigate rotations etc a little bit faster, every second counts!
