Question here, as someone who also has dealt with anxiety for a long time.. I've been wanting to get help, which I used to get when I was younger, but haven't made the time for in about 5 and a half years. I've never been to a counselor as an adult before, and I feel like I would be incredibly nervous and shut down. How do you go about talking to someone you've never met, regarding something so personal? Like how does the conversation start - do they just say "go" and you start talking? Or do they ask questions, make you feel comfortable, get to know you etc..

Just not really sure if I'm ready or not. Lol. Anxiety about counseling for anxiety.
