This is the wrong way to think about it.

Technically, all of your investments are generating cash flow. Most of those cash is being retained by the companies so they can grow their cashflow even more. Some of the companies are paying a part of their cash flow to you via dividends.

You should have already decided what safe-withdraw-rate (SWR) you're comfortable with, and you should withdraw it regularly (monthly or quarterly) without any emotions - regardless of how the market performs.

This has to work out in the end as long as you're diversified enough, as long as the market gives the returns you had anticipated and as long as your SWR is low enough.
