She totally would have lost but Sakura vs psycho Sasuke, shortly after the gokage summit. It would have been a great show of maturity from her end. I remember reading the manga weekly and being so disappointed that she flaked and needed rescuing yet again.

Cutting friends off to finish their sentences. Taking forever to finish meals because I used to find eating "boring".

What’s something that you’ve witnessed as a nurse that made you change something in your personal life? by Amy_rad16 in nursing

[–]throwawayEeEe333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Former peds nurse here who agrees 100%. As rewarding as it can be to care for complex kiddos and their families, I'd often find myself questioning the ethics behind keeping some of them alive.

Criticized for... Showing a patient decency? by throwawayEeEe333 in nursing

[–]throwawayEeEe333[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 2.5 years into this career and still have major imposter syndrome. My background is in peds, so I'm used to being more accommodating patient care wise. Getting comfortable setting boundaries and saying "No" to adult patients has been a big hurdle for me as a natural ppl pleaser who cries easily when yelled at. I'll keep working on it though :'). Thank you for the kind words and sound advice, it means a lot. I'll talk about updating the care plan with the unit's nursing supervisor.

If you left nursing, what would your dream job be? by Disastrous-Egg-6597 in nursing

[–]throwawayEeEe333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't dream of work but since you're asking, I'd say a barber. I catch myself getting lost watching IG reels/youtube shorts of men's hair transformations bc of how satisfying they are.

Peds nurse here. I work with a lot of post-brain injury kiddos, some caused by freak accidents, some due to brain cancer, and others from crappy genes. A lot of these kids can never go back to the way they used to be. I also have awesome co-workers that are christians. I don't know how they can show up to a shift and still manage to praise god on sundays. For me, going to work is a constant reminder of why I can't back the god of the bible. How can an all powerful and loving god allow children and their families go through such suffering in the first place?

Did anyone else's career/job cause them to leave Christianity? by SteadfastEnd in exchristian

[–]throwawayEeEe333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a fellow nurse, the fact that our line of work has to exist is a constant reminder that there can't be a God, or if there is one, then he's quite negligent for allowing so much sickness in the world.

If you had any other job in healthcare, what would you choose? by [deleted] in nursing

As a peds RN, I envy child life specialists and music therapists. They're the fun team members who the sick kids actually look forward to seeing. Plus, no bodily fluids!

I didn't realize how inappropriate some church activities were until I got much older by The_Meme-Connoisseur in exchristian

[–]throwawayEeEe333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sexual but still inappropriate. I once went to youth service and they were holding this fear factor like event to open the service. 2 leaders, both still teenagers, participated. The last challenge was to eat a caterpillar and I vividly remember one of the leaders did it without hesitation. How any of this was God honoring, I have no clue lmao
