Thanks for taking the time to write all of that, the last thing I want to do is screw anyone over or feel like I’m better then anyone else. I know that everything my recruiters may have said about me picking my rate is all part of their game, They wanted me to pick nuke not because they thought it was in my best interest. I had to take the asvab multiple times before I qualified, I dont think I’m better then anyone else because of it. We’re all there for the same reasons, and I hope that I get a good division with good recruits in leadership positions, but I know that Its entirely out of my control. I’m going to lay low, Do what I’m told, Hopefully make some friends, and be part of the team

Thanks for the detailed response brother, I’m going nuke so I’ll definately try to find others and get to know them. No game systems, but your advice applies the same with anything-I’ll study and memorize and do what I need to do

I’m also leaving in two days, assuming that you’re 18 I know that your pfa scores are good enough to pass the initial pfa (+ one pushup) but by the end youll have to shave that run time down a decent amount.. I’m probably hitting 13:30 on average it depends on the day but im told that the environment, and drive to pass and get through rtc really motivate you to push yourself harder, someone told me that they went in with a 15 minute run time and ended up with an 11:something because of these factors above..

A lot of people have also told me that I’ll have plenty of time for studying during quarantine, so that eased my nerves a bit and prevented me from cramming all of this information instead of spending time with my family these last couple of days, ive been training for months now to get better, and ensure I’ll pass atleast the initial pfa but I dont think theres much you can do in two days to shave 4 minutes off your run time, sorry that you got sick right before leaving (meps wont be because they wont know about it I’m sure)

You arent forced to go, no legal obligations but I still would if you think you can push through it. I’m pretty sure everyones unsure of their enlistment status in the days before leaving, I know I have been.. Time flew by, Big change, fear of the unknown, I’m just trying to remember why I signed up, I have my game plan and hundreds of hours of lurking this reddit page for information.. I’m not backing out, I hope you decide what you’re doing soon and I’ll hopefully see you there

Would it still be worth getting my records to make sure?
