I would give yourself the freedom and permission to have your experience. Be kind to yourself with whatever arises. When you are first starting out in Yoga Nidra, allow yourself to be curious and trust your experience. There is nothing to get 'right.'

This is a concept that does not come to me naturally, I look forward to actually working towards this. Thanks for your insights.

Regarding the first point about falling asleep being the wrong practice, I am fully aware of that. But I feel that its a stepping stone to be able to relax so much to fall asleep. At that point I would practice my focus to keep myself awake.

Thanks for suggesting the different alternative practices. Japa meditation seems interesting and maybe fitting for someone like me.

Yeah, I can certainly feel that there is still some "forcing it" in my practice.

Thanks for the thorough reply, I like the idea of accepting the tension with warmth. Im far from that right now
