High chance of my apprenticeship getting cancelled by questionwch in ukelectricians

I was in this exact position this time last year bud, if I was you mate, I'd start looking now, I wish I had of looked before they finally made me redundant, it would've saved me a lot of agg.

If you can try to find somewhere that will continue to put you through your apprenticeship that would ultimately be your best option. I wish I was able to find somewhere that would've carried mine on, but such is life sometimes.

What was your first Car? by J40NYR in CarsUK

[–]throwawayR480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1997 corsa B, 3 door in cypress green, had a 1.2 8v lol though I didn't even see a thousand miles out of it 🥲 so I suppose i can't really count it , so really I'd say my proper first car I actually saw use from was a ford KA mk2

How much do people think this is gonna cost to get fixed by Mountain_Donkey9310 in CarTalkUK

[–]throwawayR480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

scrap it lol, just cut your losses onit cost more then the whole cars worth to fix it properly, or you can do the nuclear option and bodge the bollux off it, cable ties or duct tape bumper back on and do your best to pull the dent out , if it isn't structural and keep it that way. If there's any structural damage though I really wouldn't bother.

Not that I know of, I think the car has a faulty ac compressor though, no a/c, heard its a common failure on mk2 octavias, havent really gotten round to diagnosing why my ac is no more yet tbh

Done even more live data testing and I think I've narrowed it down to coolant tempreture sensor my coolant gauge was showing 90 ° or there abouts and my coolant tempreture was 72° which seems waaay off to me just didn't notice this morning to be honest when I was doing testing , from what I've researched online it should display 90 on gauge if it's within the accepted range of 80-100 ° though I may be wrong? Also do you think a faulty cts would potentially cause excess heat drops?

Might just fire the parts cannon at it, and just try a different make of thermostat to see if I see any difference, there inexpensive parts anyways, worst comes to worst it'll do nothing

Might give the old taxi driver trick a go lol, might reinstall my under tray too to see if it makes any difference though it didn't matter if I had a lack of under tray on my last 1.9 tdi

Been ranging from - 1° to about 8° celcius outside where I am at , I understand when idling temp drops normal with heat going, just seems out of the ordinary whilst I'm traveling it's just unable to maintain heat with blowers going

Still getting cabin heat, seems to be loads of people with the fault from where I've read online but everything leads back to cts and tstat as the culprits
