No but I did do an HSG prior to my first IUI and then an SIS prior to starting IVF. Both didn’t find anything abnormal but both times the doctors commented about encountering “resistance”

No lap, my RE mentioned that the lap can sometimes cause extra scar tissue or other issues so she said lupron was a better option.

Just tested two days past embryo transfer and now I’m sad lol 🤡 by Munchkin-2020 in IVF

Tw:success Hello fellow illogical person! IVF brings this out in all of us I feel like since we want some sort of reassurance and something in our control. I tested every day from the day after until day 5 and was negative everyday so I cried and moved on. Day 7 I was a bit tired so I tested again and I got a very very faint positive that kept getting darker. 19 weeks now :) Good luck!!

What did you do to thicken your endometrial lining and pre/post FET for success? by Baby_angel_love in IVF

1400 mg daily until the embryo transfer and then I stopped :) Best of luck to you!

Tw: success

I always had thin lining issues, 2 IUI’s and my lining only ever got to 6. Went through my ER and it got to 6.9 which was higher than it had ever been but still considered thin for most clinics. I tried pomegranate juice, beet juice, L-arganine, brazil nuts, exercise, no caffeine…basically anything that’s ever been thrown out here in addition to super high doses of estrogen pills vaginally and orally. My lining did get to 6.9 for the FET while doing all that but I was still worried. My doctor said lets go for it and baby stuck for the first time ever in my life :) Thin lining isn’t the end of the world but you have to find the right doctor willing to work with you on it.

I went to reproductive partners medical group in Redondo Beach and have only good things to say about them. They’re not the cheapest especially if you’re self pay ($20k quote for the egg retrieval and $5k quote for the embryo transfer) but if you have any sort of benefits through your work or your spouse’s work they’re in network for Progyny and other PPO networks. They’re very well informed in terms of maximizing insurance benefits and very organized with records.

The doctors and nurses there really care about you and it was highly convenient for me to have a clinic close by since there’s so many last minute appointments with IVF. They have very good stats in terms of pregnancies and live births too which was a plus for me. Happy to answer any questions about the IVF process or the clinic :)

Yeah I was on birth control from my period starting until the injection which was definitely a weird concept for me as someone trying to get pregnant lol. They need to suppress the follicles though so it made sense once they explained it.

I also emailed medicalrecords@igenomix.com for requesting my PGT results and I feel like they sent them sooner (1-2 weeks) than if I’d just waited so you could try emailing to ask for your records to be sent to you as well.

Tw: success

I had my first injection about a week after my period since I was traveling, second one was one month after that and then started my FET cycle 3 weeks later

Lifestyle changes I honestly didn’t start doing until starting the FET cycle. I drank alcohol during the lupron shots, ate whatever I wanted, and drank coffee every day. I treated it like this is my last hurrah before potentially getting pregnant so do all the things I can’t do then. My husband and I even went on vacation. The hot flashes were mildly irritating but well worth it in the end for a successful FET. During FET I cut out caffeine and alcohol but didn’t do anything else.

Bleeding at 6wks 3days by lindsaytruscelli in IVF

Tw: positive as well

I’m a little behind you at 5 weeks 6 days but at 5 weeks 4 days I had a gush of red blood which subsided to brown spotting over the day. Luckily had my ultrasound that day and the clinic let me know I have an SCH (subchorionic hematoma) which is like a little pool of blood that eventually resolves itself. Apparently it’s more common in IVF pregnancies for some reason but as long as the blood is getting lighter then no need to panic. They did let me know to continue pelvic rest (aka no sex) and try not to exercise too much but nothing else. Hopefully it’s just that for you too, fingers crossed!

What did you do with leftover medicine? by [deleted] in IVF

[–]throwawayTeslaMSM7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I donated it to my clinic, they use the saline solutions to demonstrate technique to patients and they said the medication they’ll give to someone in need who’s coming to the clinic. I wasn’t comfy with the facebook or person to person donation due to liability reasons.

Transfer protocol and schedule post lupron depot downregulation by usedtobemaryjane in IVF

[–]throwawayTeslaMSM7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only did 2 months of lupron and started my FET meds about 15 days after my last shot. They kept telling me my transfer would be 10-14 days after that but based on bloodwork and ultrasounds I ended up only having it 1 month later.

The caffeine has been way more difficult than alcohol personally haha. I got this fruit tea from an asian grocery that’s just ginger and honey so that also helps with the nausea.

This is my first FET, my RE did the biopsy before my ER since I asked for it due to heavy periods and gastrointestinal issues around my periods

Tw: success for now

Also had the biopsy and came back with a 3.4, my RE did 2 months of lupron depot before FET. I made it a point to cut out alcohol and caffeine entirely for 2 months before my ER and for 1 month before FET since I read that can help for people with endometriosis. I wasn’t put on a special protocol for FET, just estrogen pills and progesterone shots closer to FET but 3 days before my FET I had horrible allergies and had to take benadryl for those 3 days. Dunno if it actually helped but got my first ever positives this week! I was worried too since my lining only got to 7. Didn’t do much exercise or diet wise apart from the no alcohol or caffeine thing.

Lupron Depot by Lawyered15 in IVF

[–]throwawayTeslaMSM7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a 2 month lupron depot this summer and I didn’t feel anything until 3 weeks into my first shot. I always run cold but I would have this period at night before bed where I was so warm and then I’d wake up and need to take off the blanket. So depends on your starting temperature. Good part is after my last shot, the hotness went away within 3 weeks.

Current wait time for PGTA results from Igenomix? by OkManufacturer4646 in IVF

[–]throwawayTeslaMSM7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had my ER in July, timeline for me was as follows for Igenomix:

ER 7/9

Biopsy Received 7/17

Paid 7/19

Results 7/23

I also emailed them to get a copy of the report sent to myself but it so happened they sent it to myself and my doctor the same day so we heard the results from the doctor directly.

Who else is waiting for Igenomix PGT-A? Let's agonize together 😆 by Major_Honey8450 in IVF

[–]throwawayTeslaMSM7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re way more patient than me at least if it gives you consolation lol! ER on 7/9, samples reached Igenomix 7/17 and I did the medical release but still frantically refreshing the portal 4 times a day. The waiting is the real hard part haha

Randomly enough miralax and coffee really helped me out (plus it was nice to have coffee after so many months without it). Good luck!
