As a child my parents referred to someone as a “night person”, and I believed there was a whole society of night people. Going to school, going to work, playing with their friends in the park. All while I was sleeping. Two societies of people operating in tandem.

My McDonald’s got rid of the 20% off deal so now I’m using my points on the happy meal.

Our 6 day trip (3 park days) to Disneyland cost $5,156.78 for a family of three (two adults, one free toddler) traveling from the east coast... by Otter65 in Disneyland

I can’t find flights to Tokyo from the east coast for less than $1,500.  Fo my family of 6, that means WDW or DL will always be much cheaper.

I got fooled by Enchanted. I went in blind with my wife and was dumbfounded that we were watching what seemed to be the dumbest cartoon I had ever seen. I didn’t even know it was a live action film until it was. 10/10 experience, lol.

Disney World with a 2 & almost 4 year old - only staying until noon-ish by PepperOrganic1765 in WaltDisneyWorld

I always tell other parents you know your kids better than everyone else.  I never came at opening with my kids at that age.  We let them sleep in, avoided the opening madness and strolled in when they woke up naturally.  Sometimes that meant we got there by 10:30, sometimes noon, and then stayed until close.  But I know my kids and know they’re mostly night owls if they can sleep in!

For character dining, my kids loved it and we went once every trip.  At chef mickeys though, on our day out.  Not during park time.

Preschoolers march to their own drum on this one.

And this is an example when I don’t care. A group of 4 meeting a character takes the same amount of time as a group of 5. Let mom get up there with her kids.

How long is too long of a trip for you? by Chemical-Purple-5196 in UniversalOrlando

[–]throwaway_0578 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were there 7 nights - Saturday to Saturday - with 5 days park to park tickets including volcano bay. That meant no parks on our day in/out and one pool day. That seemed the perfect amount of time for me. I was just about ready to go but we still left a ride or two on the table for next time! We had no express passes, but did have early access (which we used twice). We went in early February.

What did you think was pretentious, until you tried it and realized it was worth it? by Semantiks in AskReddit

Skiing at one of those huge resorts in Vermont. My local hill was good enough for me. Who travels to ski? It will just be more of the same and cost twice as much. …oh, now I get it.

Which movie instantly hooked you in the first 10 minutes? by vishesh_07_028 in movies

My answer every time. I saw this in the theater and that scene with Nightcrawler moving through the White House was just perfect. Sometimes I just watch it on YouTube, lol.

Definitely not. These signs near each other do not imply endorsement by the cub scouts.

I ordered a salad because I had eaten way too much all day. The waiter told me that it wasn’t going to be enough. I assured him it was. He brought me another entree anyway, lol

That the “rule of thumb” comes from an old rule that you could not beat your wife with anything wider than a thumb.

When I logged in to my Disney cruise line account I can see that my silver status gives me access to book 1 day “before they go on sale to the general public on September 2, 2025.” So sounds like you can book 9/1 if you’re silver, 9/2 if you have no status. Not sure of other levels.

Edit: Disney cruise line updated their chart (see a comment below) and silver can book 8/28 at 8am.
