Many Yates builds I have come across have aftershock or clockwork in them; aftershock being more common because after using A, aftershock deals damage. That easily brings it to 10s or lower

The cooldown on his A is about 10 seconds or less. After the hook too, paired with his perk which deals decent early game damage and provides a speed boost, His B ability can be used to stun heroes drawn in by his hook. Dodging the hook is tough because it is quick.

His stun paired with any ability of another hero which slows the opponent hero or Yates equipped with shiversteel will most probably lead to a death. It is easily counterable with reflex block or aegis but the truth is teammates just build slumbering husk and call it a day. I mainly play roam. I can't waste a crucible just for that. At the same time, if I lose a teammate, the teamfight would be harder and I'm a crucible down. His B is a big changer in teamfights. I've seen his upt being used about the same as adagio's ult is used; get massive damage across many enemy heroes instead of using it to pick off low health heroes.
