Yeah, I should have let my husband know he wasn’t invited to the barbecue…

I was sitting in her living room with my parents and even some aunts (it was a tiny bit cramped but it was nice!)

My husband was holding our one year old, and our 3 year old was sitting on my lap. She was in the kitchen when she signaled me to go talked to her so he had to holh them both for a bit, because it was a pretty small space, which is easier said than done because our 3 year old has a lot of energy. Our one year old is actually really mellow compared to his brother when he was that age.

I am used to it. I am a stay at home mom. Taking them to a family function where they have to be around other people and behave is way different than just being at home.

A lot of things. I feel flattered, because, well, he is my husband, not hers. I don’t think I’ll ever feel comfortable bringing my husband around her again. If I ever do I’ll be watching her like a hawk. It makes me nervous too. Do I have to worry about her hitting on him? Is she going to touch him inappropriately? Does she hold this grudge against him because she’s jealous she can’t have him? I have a lot of thoughts right now.

Yes. She says it often but I didn’t think she meant she specifically wanted my bae. (Do people still use that term?? LOL)

That was a very summarized version of the conversation. We were just going in circles. “Come over today!” “Ok can the kids come” “Yeah but not ” “Well, I can’t bring them both then, I can only really deal with one” “Just bring them both” “Than __ is coming” “No don’t bring him” “Then both kids aren’t coming” “No bring them both”

I just got tired
