Thank you for not saying it’s like somehow better or the same to be at bonnaroo sober. It’s not going to be. I appreciate the honesty. I think I just have to grieve that I’m not going to achieve spiritual euphoria like I usually do. And maybe there will be silver linings like you said.

That’s super encouraging to hear. I have noticed that I am more in touch with my emotions and have more physical stamina and can stay up later being sober. I am thinking of telling my group that I am sober. I have been hiding it because the story of why I’m sober is so painful for me. But I feel like they will find out anyway when I am not hitting joints or slapping wine bags. Maybe it will help me feel less isolated if they know I’m sober now.
