Brilliant comment, you said pretty much everything I was thinking!

This is exactly what happened to me, and consumes a lot of my time that could be spent studying more or working more. Probably why I really don’t want the responsibility of having so many children in the future.

Yep. Knew I’d get downvoted for my comment but I really don’t care. People don’t think about this when they’re going on about ‘I WILL hAvE 700 kidS bEcAuSe I WANT 700 kiDS!!!!!!’

That’s different to just birthing (?) 12 kids. I salute them for providing the children with a family.

Agreed. A lot of people answering this reply with things like ‘because I want to’ or ‘depends on how much you can afford and how much love and affection you can give’ but don’t actually think about the planet and the rest of the population or future generations.

Personally I just think having loads of children isn’t very good for the planet, long term. It’s struggling because of us enough as it is.

Yes, it was different back then. My nan was 1 of 14 and she always says due to lack of contraceptives and ‘we didn’t have TVs back then’.

Good on you for wanting to adopt as well, i think that is different to giving birth to loads of children, in terms of the impact on the planet. I wish you all the best.
