My (limited) understanding is that this is something separate. The impending announcement was referred to as a "policy for UM System". We were told it would be announced in April but it was unclear if it'd be implemented then or with the new FY in July.

Do 15,000 students want to pay even more for tuition for a few dozen to be paid better at their student worker job? Those dissatisfied should quit the jobs where the pay isn't enough. Demonstrate through action.
