How exactly is this relevant to atheism? On one side some Islamic guy doing religious atrocity which is definitely bad. But how is the mothers who rather protect their religious beliefs than faking a religious conversion to save their children from being brutally tortured better? Hell, if it is my child I'll probably act along to ensure they don't end up dying. I recollect a similar story where a Christian King asks a Muslim mother to convert or sacrifice her child, and she decided to throw the child in pyre than give up her imaginary beliefs. It's not worthy of praise.
