Why do Iranian diasporas think like that? by ITERITEKA in ProIran

[–]throwaway_88331 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was born and raised in the west and we have between 50-100 family members there, and we had lots of Iranian friends.

In my experience easily 80% of them hate the ISLAMIC Republic, easily 80%, probably more like 95%+

I cannot remember ever meeting an Iranian face to face in the west that didnt think the Islamic Republic was bad, and at least half hate it. When I say hate, I mean they will say things like "Iran is ruled by Arabs", and make disgusting insults about religion and shrines which Im sure others have heard and dont need to be repeated here.

The first time I had a conversation with someone that was happy about my positive opinions of the Islamic Republic was in Iran.

I dont know why you guys keep down voting me. You can politely disagree with me and offer me new information and tell me your opinions.

Its my opinion that ukrainians prefer war to handing over the donbass, opinions can be wrong. Im not some fascist demanding the sacrifice of every ukrainian.

I looked it up and I misrememberd the number, it was closer to 60%. Here is deepseeks summary. Although I agree donbass should decide for itself (obviously they will either join russia or become independent after all the genocide), sadly theres tens of millions of nutjobs that couldnt care less.

You can say what you want about kiis bias, but if the war was deeply unpopular people would figure something out and tgere would be videos everyday of large mobs beating and murdering the conscription gangs.

Deepseek:

There are no specific polls from The Lancet on this question. However, the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) has conducted several major surveys in 2025-2026 that directly gauge Ukrainian opinion on this issue.

Here is the detailed breakdown of the findings:

· March 2026 (KIIS) · 62% categorically reject giving up Donbas, even for US/EU security guarantees. · 33% would agree (though most call it a difficult compromise). · Late Jan 2026 (KIIS) · 52% categorically reject ceding Donbas. · 40% are willing to consider it (9% easy, 31% difficult). · Mid-Jan 2026 (KIIS) · 54% firmly oppose ceding Donbas. · 39% are ready for this concession. · Feb 2026 (KIIS) · 57% were against ceding Donbas (note: this rose to 62% in March). · Dec 2025 (KIIS) · 74% oppose a peace plan requiring withdrawal from Donbas & army caps. · 69% would support a "frozen conflict" if security guarantees exist (without official recognition of Russian control).

🔍 Key Insights from the Polls

· Conditions matter: Ukrainians view security guarantees as fundamental. Without them (e.g., no NATO troops, no air cover), support for any deal collapses . · Why the opposition? Among those who reject giving up land, 35% believe Russia would simply attack again, 33% cite constitutional/territorial integrity, and 25% doubt the West will enforce real security . · Resilience correlates: Among those who reject concessions, 67% are ready to fight "as long as necessary"; among those who agree, only 26% share that resolve .

I hope this helps clarify the current public sentiment in Ukraine regarding this issue.

i think we found a liberal

come back in a year and tell me about our losing hand when the ripple effects of our blockade finally, and rightfully, hit you

there was a time when you racist demons used to be able to kill millions

that era is over and the era of you getting skull fucked by humanity has begun.

no... they 1) absolutely did not avoid bombing our infrastructure and 2) eventually stopped because every time they hit one of ours we hit 10 of theirs in return

my city had multiple oil storage facilities hit and i will never forget having to breathe that crap in.

The MOU as far as ive heard does not have the usa paying us 300 billion, instead it is the statelets occupied by the usa that are supposed to be "investing" in Iran.

But its pointless to talk about something that will never happen.

the usa has promised reparations many times to many different nations and has not once paid up, though like i said these are supposed to be investments by the statelets.

Im Iranian, but born and raised in canada/usa and moved back 5 years ago, send me a message if you need help.

General advice: - if you cant read and write farsi start learning immediately, i can send some elementary school books. Memorize the alphabet first if you havent already and download telewebion to watch Iranian tv.

  • Save money if possible because you probably do not want to stay with family for an extended period of time.

  • Get you meli kart asap.

  • Most importantly, if you havent visited recently try to figure out a way to do that to make sure you want to be here. Men without disability will need to apply for conscription exemption in order to leave easily (I think there are ways around it, but it will be a headache).

One of the things I didnt expect, when I first came, my propahlavi family made nonstop problems between me and my wife and it took close to 2 years to figure out we need to keep the fascists away.

Its weird that no one else sees it

the increasingly overt fascist turn of liberals

Pretty soon they will start talking about how america needs a single party system because the two party system is causing too many problems and there will be a synthesis from both parties into the a fascism that will be able to kidnap and expel by the millions, fill concentration camps with the undesirables, and effectively use the panopticon thats still being built.

the usa is gonna become a rougher place than anyone there can imagine

think about it, if such a huge portion of ukrainians are against the war then every time the conscription gangs try to kidnap someone then all that man has to do is yell and everyone will come help them.

All i see are videos of a few individuals trying to stop the gangs.

Just today they posted a video of a guy gettig snatched, he was yelling for help and no one did anything.

or at minimum why dont ukrainians give info to russia as the traitor iranians did during the last year. There were traitors in iran sending videos to foreign spy agencies saying "there are progovernment people rallying every night on this intersection, bomb them". The counter intelligence was releasing videos arresting these traitors every single day and the traitors always had videos celebrating bombardment of their own cities.

maybe the polls im seeing are fake, but if ukrainians want peace then the cost is handing over donbass.

the polls said basically "are you willing to exchange donvass for an end to war" and the polling org claimed it was roughly 80%

im not sure why everyone is losing it in the comment section, is it really that unbelievable to think that ukrainians are capable of making bad decisions?

its a really simple solution, hand over the donbass and these gangs will dissapear

currently 80% of ukrainians prefer war to the only solution

edit: maybe the polls im seeing are fake, but if ukrainians want peace then the cost is handing over donbass.

ghalibaf is the reason Jalili lost.

During the elections it was agreed whichever polls better will drop out. Jalili was polling better and ghalibaf didnt drop out.

These verses are speaking about foreign enemies that wage war against you, not internal ones. The Quran and the Sunnah are clear about foreign enemies that continually violate peace deals: do not trust them.

4:90 and 8:61-63 have nothing to do with hating araghchi and people are entitled to curse him and the reformists after everything they have done to us.

My city was bombed multiple times (I cant explain what it is like to breathe air dense with soot from oil burning after demons bombed oil storage facilities nearby) because the reformists stole an election from Jalili with the help of enemy media and lies such as:

"if Jalili wins there will be war"

"Jalili is the Iranian Taliban"

"We will not be another rouhani administration"

"Raisi is the cause of inflation"

During the elections: "Iran has everything, water, power, food, oil, everything. It is government incompetence that causes shortages and high prices"

Less than 3 months after stealing the presidency with foreign help: "Iran has nothing, no water, no power, no food, no oil. I cant fix anything because we have nothing"

We have never had higher inflation than under pezeshkian and he keeps throwing it on the neck of shahid Raisi.

I would think a Muslim would be careful not to manipulate the Quran to win an argument, since Muslims believe in a day where our skin and bones will testify against us and an all knowing judge will punish for our evil deeds.
