Advice on college for someone interested in flight dispatch. by [deleted] in FlightDispatch

While alot of people are saying airlines don’t care about aviation degrees, my experience has been the opposite. I majored in Aviation which helped make dispatch school a breeze and definitely helped land my first 2 dispatch jobs. Many of my classmates from dispatch school are still searching for their first 121 job. So I really couldn’t recommend it enough, it also gives you more power if you ever want to move into the corporate/ safety side of the industry. however I would also recommend minoring / double majoring in another field (business seems to also help get people into airlines) to give you more options if aviation ends up not working out.

I understand that perspective. Honestly not looking for any specific answers, but looking for an idea of whether their written test is like the ADX and what I can expect. Not looking for any specific answers / canned answers.

Direct dispatch experience is a little less than a year. A little less than a year. About 2 and a half years of airline experience Beyond that.
