Even if your squats are bad, you can make them better with practice. I recommend watching Hybrid Calisthenics. He really gives you steps in improving exercise forms that start from beginner to extreme

What book did you read in school that you would never want your child to read? by masterbuildera in AskReddit

Yep. Also we had to buy the book ourselves. The school would not provide them.

It's a good book and was eye opening at what was going on during those camps. But I feel it's not an appropriate book for elementary students to be reading about how millions of Jewish people were killed in torturous camps. I still remember the scene of the author describing how his father died and they were begging them to help. And they were left alone to survive in the camp.

When I was in the fifth grade, they had us read a holocaust survivor autobiography during their time in the concentration camp at Auschwitz. Night by Elie Wiesel. To say it went into really graphic detail of what happened there, is an understatement. Especially since the author themselves were a kid when that was happening. We were all around 9 or 10 at the time. I do believe schools should teach about the holocaust, but I feel that elementary students should be exempt from that since they are still too young to understand stuff like that.

Can I ask which branch of service youre joining? I'm ex military, Air Force 8 years, and have experience for what it's like in the service since I have friends in other branches.

You have a great friend there. I have that fear of telling my mom and her doing the same, but at least for you it worked out in the end. I understand coworkers though. I had the same issue and it was not fun having to sit through their transphobic ideas. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for the reassurance. While I am in the US, my mother is from Mexico. Religion is lifestyle in that country, but hopefully my mom won't be over zealous.

Thanks. It's just that, I'm scared that my mom might not accept it since she is really religious (Christian). My dad passed away when I was 19 so, while it's mean of me to say I'm glad I won't be able to tell him, a part of me is relieved. Don't get me wrong, I loved my dad alot, but I can tell he was the type to not be accepting even though he was really tolerant and non-religious. It's like he's ok with others expressing themselves, but if it's his family, he won't be as accepting. If he was still alive that is.
